Verizon Please Come Visit

it seems like everywhere I am bombarded with ads for Verizon DSL. And yet every time I visit their web page I see it's not available in my area yet. Please, please stop the full page ads, you're only taunting me!

I am *so* desperate for high-speed internet, but I do not want to pay the atrocious amount for a cable modem through Time-Warner (formerly Adelphia). Help please!

BTW, has anyone tried Blogger beta yet? Is it worthwhile to switch?
